Swedish duo Dagfest is made up of Mats Lundgren and Patrico Cabezas. The Dagfest project is what happens when a techno producer and a vinyl addicted record shop worker get together and make music. It’s sample-tastic, meaty, beaty balearic, disco tinged loveliness. The duos energy lies in pushing to open up the cosmos of dance music. Soulful most of the times when not being acid or deep. Here at Melodica a big summer record is usually part of the agenda and for 2015 “I’ve Got the Feeling” is that record.

Melodica Recordings is excited to announce Deekie’s brand new album ‘Solitaire’.

Here’s what people have said about the boy/girl duo:

“Deekie combine field recordings, electronic blip, and ethereal dream pop in a creation that alternates between disturbing and disorienting beauty.” Ad Hoc

After releasing the incredibly well received return album from Coco, Steel & Lovebomb, London-based Melodica Recordings took a break to prepare to release more outstanding Electronica.

Coco, Steel & Lovebomb last got together in 1994 to make an album for Warp Records called It. 20 years later, on mid summers day, the enigmatic trio return with The Chillout Album, a kind of homage to 90s chillout rooms and lost weekends at festivals.

Melodica’s head honcho Chris Coco launches “My Summer Mixtape 2014”, his second annual selection of Balearic music for the summer season, due for release on the 9th of June 2014.

Amane is no stranger to Melodica Recordings, after releasing this track as part of a Chris Coco’s Night Bus compilation last year he’s back with Tangerine, featuring Jupiter Jax and Liston remixes.

There is one thing you can be sure about when Melodica Recordings is about to release something: it will always be forward thinking music. This March they are dropping Leeds-based producer Liston’s new single ‘Skyscraper’, a four track EP that includes an incredible range of influences and genres.

Young South London producer Mokadem (aka Louisa Mokadem) arrives with her debut EP of brooding bass-inclined electronica for Melodica Records. Mokadem came into focus in early 2013 when her track 'You & Her' featured on the 'Night Bus' compilation and saw support from the likes of Rob Da Bank (BBC Radio 1) and Lauren Laverne (BBC 6 Music).

Peckham 5-piece Haraket return to Melodica Recordings with the eagerly awaited follow up to their debut EP from earlier this year. 4-tracker 'Ílk' flows seamlessly from the early promise of 'Taint/Attgo', preserving wall-of-sound dynamics with delicate source material, moody electronics, live / programmed beats and effected vocal lines.

As an interlude between Haraket's forthcoming EP and their last, we've pulled in some favours for an exclusive little remix package featuring moody dancefloor renditions of 'Attgo' & 'Taint'. This is one for those twilight basement parties.

For more than one and a half decades, ten studio albums so far and countless 12 inches and remixes, Jean F. Cochois a.k.a. The Timewriter, has established himself as one of the most internationally respected writer/producers of his musical genre and considered one of the founding members of the Tech House movement.

As an accompaniment to Chris Coco's My Summer Mixtape digital compilation, Melodica Recordings presents an exclusive, very limited 12" release combining the talent of Germany's Balearic maestro Satin Jackets, with Ibiza chillout legend Jose Padilla. The vinyl comes housed in a exclusive custom record bag, the ultimate Balearic accessory for DJs, vinyl lovers and beach bums.

Melodica Recordings are pleased to be welcoming Chillout hero Jose Padilla to the stable for this release, accompanied by an edit for label boss Chris Coco.

My Summer Mixtape - Compiled by Chris Coco.

My Summer Mixtape is one of those 'does what it says on the tin' releases. A collection of summer tunes from the Balearic Maestro and Melodica label boss Chris Coco.

'Night Bus' is a new eleven track compilation by Melodica Recordings. Pulling in the work of a localised group of young producers from South London, this collection is the beginning of a series or releases from the label that focuses on specific neighbourhoods in London and beyond. Here's what the label has to say about it:

It is with great pleasure that we here at Melodica bring to you the disco/house maestro that is Satin Jackets.

James McArthur returns to the fold with a brace of soothing folk oddities, plucked warm from the underbelly of South London's acoustic circuit and re-materialised in recorded form as 'Lawn Order'. Following on from last year's 'Citizen Cained', McArthur continues on his path of witty understatements, echoing the likes Nick Drake and Iron and Wine from a perspective that's entirely his own, one that's at once grounded and fleeting, yet always profound.

Introducing Haraket, a 5 piece from South London who are set to release their debut 12" / digital single on Melodic Recordings this Spring. The band emerged from the creative chaos of school and college bands in and around Peckham that have already given the world King Krule. This is the first in a series of releases with Melodica Recordings.

Coming off the back of the success from Chris Coco's last album - Freedom Street, 'Word' was the obvious choice for a brilliant single with some even more enticing remixes.

To kick things off you are met by the genius and groove that is Leftside Wobble, creating a deep and heartfelt house remix; you are carried along with the old school vibe we all remember so vividly.

Didz & Chico are a Cardiff-based production duo who started making beats in 2003 when grime was peaking. The duo always had a versatile ear for different genres and as dubstep was evolving through the darker side of grime, they gravitated towards a combination of those sounds.

Art rock trio City Reverb return to Melodica with an EP of electro-acoustic, digital / analogue songs about living in the actual and metaphorical, emotional Edgelands. This is urban pastoral, the place where the retail park meets the canal meets the wasteland meets the landfill meets the new housing estate meets the countryside.

No Logo is a special collaboration between Steve Miller, the super producer behind downtempo sensation Afterlife and renowned, versatile DJ and long standing Mambo, Ibiza resident Pete Gooding. following their debut on Melodica last year with a Balearic cover of Eurhythmics’ classic this City Never Sleeps, the duo return to the label as promised for a startlingly accomplished full length album.

Welcome to the latest instalment from Melodica Recordings; two hazy pop gems from misty eyed lo-fi duo Deekie. A-side Rush is a giddy mix of delicate melody and lofty rhythm, a lament for the twilight hours. B-side Must Not Be Mentioned sees the pair mine their more experimental seam.

Freedom Street is Chris Coco's debut album on his new label, Melodica Recordings. It follows 2009's Feel Free Live Good which came out on Big Chill Records.

Melodica Recordings' head honcho and chillout Toastmaster Chris Coco offers up 'Word,' the exuberant and care-free single taken from his forthcoming donwntempo masterpiece 'Freedom Street.'

Melodica Recordings is proud to introduce 'Citizen Cained,' the labels' debut single from Welsh born folk singer / songwriter James McArthur.

Here's a deliberately quirky, decidedly summery single for you. It's ever so saucy and a little naive. It's the sound of three Balearic DJs searching for something to play in the late afternoon as the sun scorch mellows and thoughts turn to cocktails and night time excursions.

For the next release on MelodicaRecordings we travel from London to Sydney, with a quick stop off in Ibiza on the way.

Dubble Trubble is the first full length release from bass and drum duo Mr Diablo (ex Welfare Heroine ) and Fritz Catlin (ex 23 Skidoo). Their dub reggae and funk fusions occupy a rarefied space, unquantised and autotune free, expressing all they know with every beat.

The 7th release on Chris Coco's MelodicaRecordings label is re-versions of release number one, Chris's own beautiful Electro-Latino song, Holiday, featuring the delightful Samantha Whates on vocals.

City Reverb are a band / There are 3 members / A DJ / A Musician / And a Singer / They like Kraftwerk / But they also like Nick Drake.

This single is the first new material since 2009's Lost City Folk album. As this is the Melodica Recordings we present an A side and a B side for you to enjoy. No remixes, no waste, just a great imaginary 7" to add to your virtual collection.

A cover of one of the best songs of 80s band Eurythmics by two contemporary Balearic maestros. No Logo is a special collaboration between Steve Miller, the super producer behind downtempo sensation Afterlife and renowned, versatile DJ and long standing Mambo, Ibiza resident Pete Gooding.

Crackpot love music; they enjoy making it in their outback studio in inner Melbourne.

They gather eclectic instruments around them, from vibraphones to talkie-phones. They are very shy and mostly come out at night. Crackpot are Jade D'Adrenz (Vocals), Martin Moose (Keys and Guitars), DJ Phil Ransom (Beats and Mixing).

Two fine slices of Balearic Techno from a mysterious production duo.

What do you do when a couple of producers at the top of their game take time out from making pounding dancefloor cuts and indulge themselves with a little Balearic Techno, then make two killer tunes that you want to put out on your fledgling label? Then tell you that their identities must be kept secret at all costs?

Fritz Catlin (ex 23 Skidoo) and Mr Diablo (ex Welfare Heroine/Pinky McClure and the Puritans) take a non-interventionist approach to making their reggae and funk fusions. In a world of computer fixed perfection they choose to be defined by their limitations. The spontaneity of the moment is everything!

This is the first release on Chris Coco's new label, Melodica.
